Topic: 1934 Ford Sedan Wiring placement--tail lights

I'm the new owner of a '34 Tudor with a '37 engine working on replacing 'creative' wiring. Two areas have me puzzled and drawings/photos are scarce. First, the crossover wiring between the tail lights. Does it run on the frame? Clipped on the front/back of the gas tank? The tank is out for cleaning, so access is good. Also where are the connectors between the main loom, L tail light and cross over wiring placed?
Second, the car currently has a large loom running along the outside the of L plug wire conduit, resting on the edge of the head and intake manifold. It looks to contain generator/cutout wiring. Wiring directly on a hot engine makes no sense, so I'm double-checking.
This arrangement was created by folks who placed the main tail light wiring directly between a L-sided exhaust (dual set up) and the frame as it passed through the frame (?). The loose exhaust was bouncing on the wiring.
Soldering is minimal throughout.
Guidance on the correct placement is appreciated. Also is there a 'Phantom Electrical System' drawing for the '34 as shown for the '37 on page 423 of the reproduction Ford Service Bulletins 1932-1937? Thanks for any help.

Here is a link to the wiring layout on the 1933-1934 cars: http://vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/FH_images/FH_electrical-pics/Flathead_Electrical_wirediagram1933-34car.jpg

I would buy a reproduction wiring harnesses from Tyree Harris or Rhode Island wiring and install them on your car. The cutout wiring and the coil wiring appear to be routed inside the left conduit on your car.

Tom, thanks for the picture. It's helpful. Any advice on the tail lights. Maybe the back edge of the gas tank? Glenn

Back edge of the tank is correct....

I would contact the Club's 33-34 Adviser for the correct routing of the harness. I haven't worked on a 33-34 car far many years and do not want to guess.

Spring type clips hold the right tail light harness to the back lip of the gas tank.

Thanks to all. It's in correct spot and works well.
