My 35 Convertible Sedan has the type door hinge pins with an annular groove on the shaft. When permanently installing should I take the time to put a small amount of white grease in the slot of each pin before I drive them in? Peter

Better yet, a light film of white grease on both on the pin and in the openings of the female portion of the hinge.

3w2 Thank you for your suggestion of lightly greasing both the male and female surfaces. It certainly makes sense to do so. Peter
