Hello everyone, My wife and I are converting her 46’ Fordor to 12v and wanted to know if anyone has a harness company they recommend? We’ve been researching a number of companies but wanted to get firsthand experiences from people with the same or similar car as ours. Any suggestions / information would be greatly appreciated.

If your current wiring harness is in good condition, you will not need to replace it when converting the car to a 12 volt system. The gauges of the wires in the original harness are more than adequate for the current they will be carrying in a 12 volt system.

If you do need to replace your wiring harness, I would recommend Tyree Harris, in Bump Pass, VA or Rhode Island Wiring Service John

I highly recommend YnZ Yesterday Auto Parts. I recently needed a specialty socket for an oil pressure light. None of the usual vendors had one listed. They had them in stock. While I was getting the part, Gene, the owner gave me a complete tour of the facility. Very impressive. They can make an exact duplicate or custom tailor one to include accessories such as turn signals, etc. I know others who have used their products to rewire their classics and have been very happy. Worth contacting them, IMO. https://www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com/ (909) 798-1498 ______________ No signature
