Topic: 36 pickup wiper

I'm looking for a vacuum wiper motor for my '36 pickup. I'd like to know how they worked so I can get the correct motor/controls. Would this vehicle have two knobs to control the wiper? What do the two knobs do? Is the motor on the driver's side (left) different than one for the passenger side?

Thanks

From what I understand, the wiper is unique to 1936 pickup.
The knobs: one is for on/off and the other is suppose to control the speed by turning it.
Unless you know that your pickup came as a deluxe model, there will be only one wiper -- driver's side.

They show up occasionally for sale, but since they were manufactures by a supplier for Ford, there is no Ford part number on the wiper.

Hope this helps.

CDemarest,The motor that you are looking for is a Trico KSB-263-3. (Ford # 50-17508) It fits all 35-36 Ford trucks. Ford did not use (2) wiper motors. If you wanted a wiper blade on the passenger side it was slaved of the driver's side wiper arm. Ford and Trico had a kit for this. Here are some images that should help you find what you are looking for.
