Topic: door upholstery around window

  Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,
I have a 1940 Fordor. There are strips of upholstery surrounding the windows on the top and sides of the windows. Aforementioned upholstery is adhered to narrow strips of sheet metal. Upholstery clips are inserted into stamped slots on this metal strip (see picture), then snapped into holes in the doors. These clips are smaller than the clips used to adhere the lower upholstery door panels to the doors. I am in need of about 35 of these smaller clips. The base length of these clips is .620" and the width is .400". Any suggestions on where to purchase these? They were not included in the upholstery kit purchased from Mac's. I'm unable to find them in Mac's catalog, but my wife says I can look straight at something and not see it. Is she correct in this case? Thanks very much for your input, Folks.
Regards,
Barney

look at the trim clips that hold the trim on the grill. They look the same. I got clips from the Early Ford Store for my grill and vent panel #01a-20001 worked for me on grill trim.

Barney, '40 grille trim clips are too short.
These have not been available in many years.
The clips for '39 standard grille trim can be made to work. That's the closest I've ever found.
