The brake light wires are part of the headlight harness.

The brake light harness is separate from the headlight harness and carries part # 68-14405. The headlight harness carries part # 48-11647.

Don, all the wires for lighting, including the brake light wires terminate at the bakelite block in the light switch. Is the tailamp/stop lamp wire harness separate from the front lighting? In dealing with repo harnesses I have found that they are all one harness. Is there a difference between the repo and original?

My '36 wiring diagram shows that the brake lights are powered by a green wire attached to the input of the lighting switch on the column where the yellow-red wire feeds the switch. The green wire goes on to the brake light switch, then on, as a green wire, to the brake (stop) lights. The system can be changed to feed the brake light circuit from any "hot" point in the system such as the yellow/red wire after the fuse, or the yellow wire from the ammeter, to eliminate the usually troublesome main lighting switch.

Tom, There must be a difference with your repro harness. See pgs 152 thru 155 in 1935-36 Ford Book.
