Topic: 36 pickup horn mounting

I’ve put new fiberglass front fenders on my ‘36 pickup and I’m attaching a horn. Am I correct that the horn mounting bracket is attached by the bolt for the headlight stand? Also, how does the wire for the horn pass through the fender? Thanks

Yes, a special carriage type bolt with a hole in the center is used to hold the horn on.
See attached picture.

Thanks! I’ve ordered the bolt with a hole.

Be sure to provide a ground wire to complete the electrical circuit to your horn.

The correct horn wire for a 36 pickup horn has both the + and - wires and doesn't need a ground wire. The horn electrical components are electrically isolated from the horn case and mounting bracket.
