I have a 1947 Ford Super Deluxe. I am in need of a new 6 volt battery in the correct Ford script case. I believe my current one is simply an Optima battery in a reproduction case. Does any one still make these? Can the old case be re-used with a new Optima battery? Any information or direction greatly appreciated. Thank you. David Daoust Stratham, NH David Daoust

Depending upon when your case was made, you might have to modify the internal support to allow the taller new Optima battery to fit. It is not a big deal to do this. Tom
