Hello Everyone, My wife and I are replacing the brakes on our 46’ Fordor Super Deluxe and have a couple of questions. The drums on all four corners of the car need to be replaced because they are too badly gouged to have them cut. It looks like the drums were never resurfaced when the brakes were replaced previously. What company do you recommend purchasing new drums from and do you have to replace the factory wheel studs when installing new drums? Some of the drums that we have found provide part numbers for new wheel studs. Do you use any special or preferred method for pressing the hub from the drum? I was going to heat the center of the drum and then press them apart using my 20ton. But if the studs have to be replaced, I will have to press them out first and then the hub? We are waiting for book from the club to come in to provide additional insight and information about our car as we restore it. Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions. If your drums have never been turned, why not have them turned/cleaned up including a bead blast?
