Topic: Engine stand

I'm looking for an engine stand. The bolt holes on the bellhousing of my 59A look awfull fragile. Will they support the weight of a complete engine? Is there a stand that allows you to support the engine from the exhaust manifold bolt holes....or somewhere else stronger than the bellhousing?

You really do not want to hold a 59AB or earlier engine on just the top or upper part of bellhousing,Ford never did , they used KR Wilson engine stands that attached to exhaust manifold mounting surface or sufaces on block. If you do not want to make your own Kurt Stumph makes a good adapter for engine stands. He usually sells or has a buy it now on Ebay and has advertised time to time in V8 Times.I will keep looking for more info to contact. Okay, looks like he does not have one active on Ebay now but check out completed item # 220620726393,shows a picture of one he sold and you could contact him with email "ask seller a question" I bought mine from him directly, not Ebay.
