Its been a while and I can not remember how to mount the spare tire in the trunk of my 51. Could some let me know what is the correct storage procedure for the tire and jack. White wall in or out and how to store the jack? Thanks Jules51 This message was edited by Jules51 on 4-3-21 @ 12:12 PM

The white wall goes out -- and also the valve stem to check the air in the spare. The jack base goes in the center of the rim, top in and storage bolt goes through the center of the base. I believe that the jack ratchet and the jack post go together and in a burlap bag. Not sure about this since the jack and post in my original 1949 were behind the tire on the trunk floor when I purchased it. I have been putting the jack handle / lug wrench between the tire and the trunk floor. Seems to like it there. Hope this helps some.
