The right door window seems to creep down about 1/2 inch or so when I shut the door firmly.
I think I know what causes it, but I don't want to say, because I don't want to sway anyones thinking.
What is causing that??

Yeah right! I'm 83 years old and all of my cars over the years had windows that gravity made go down! DARN! Why didn't I think of that!!!?? Kinda' makes one wonder why the put handles on them to crank them down, when gravity would lower them automaticly! What drug are you on??? You had better get into re-hab right away!!

There may be "slop" in the gears?? The spring(s) in the mechanism may have lost their tension. Pull the door panel and take a look.

  Paul in CT,
I think that could be. The felt window channels look like new, but the window cranking gears in the window regulars feel like they have play in them. I can move the regulating handles play back and forth about 1 and 1/2 " before the glass moves up or down. Thanks for your input; I just want some ideas before I go to the trouble to pull a door panel off.

Are you able to move the glass up and down/any movement by placing your palms on both sides when the window is at half mast? Not sure what that would even tell you as a result.
