I have a new defective set and lost the receipt. I was going to buy a pair from Randy Rundle but he passed away. Anyone have suggestions who has a good quality sending units? My car is switched to 12 volt negative ground. Thanks in advance for the responses.

I found out a few years back, that they were designed by a guy that went to a university in North Carolina, for Dennis Carpenter. They are NOT like the originals made for Ford Motor Co., and are basicly "Hit or Miss" to get any that work Properly! I suggest that you keep one installed for "looks; and buy an under the dash Temp. Unit from "O'reilly Auto Parts" To moniter your engine temp accurately. The other option, would be to use a "temp. gun," to see what your temp. is when the motor is fully warmed up, and note where your temp. gauge reads, with those faulty senders installed, so you know when it is overheating. By the way... flatheads that are set up properly, DO NOT OVERHEAT!! Mine doesn't when it is 98 degrees out in the summer here in Florida!! If you need to know how to do that; send me a private message!
