What voltage drop or resist0r can be used to safely power the original horns on my 39 after converting to 12 Volts? Part number, source? Thnks

The horns will work on 12 volts and I do not recommend using a resister to drop the voltage due to the high current used by horns.

If the horns draw 30 amps (typical), you would need a 0.2 ohm resister that could dissipate 180 watts of heat.

I run the single 6 volt horn on my '39 p/u on 12 volts. Works fine. Maybe a little load but I don't use it much. But when a knuckle head pulls out or turns left in front of me it really gets their attention.
