I have a 39 ford Deluxe 2dr Convert, does anyone remake the wood parts of the top frame work?

Thanks
Dennis

Jack, I would contact Roy Nacewicz. Roy has gone into quality wood parts bigtime now, and may either have what you need or know where to get it.

We found some for our '47 at LeBaron-Bonney, particularly the header, which almost always is rotted in some places. Be aware the the header, if you replace it, usually will not just bolt in place, but almost always has to be fitted to the car with some woodworking.

I have used "Oak Bows" out or Chambersburg Ohio. I believe they occasionally advertise in Hemmings. I have used them on the last 4 converts and each one fit well. On the '39 front bows there are at least 2 different choices according to the hardware used. If you send them the original or take a photo they can supply you with the correct bow.

We also used Oak Bows when we needed bent wood, such as is fastened to the rear folding bow. Their phone number is 717/264-2602.

LB gets them from Oak Bows. I think the best are from Bradley Brown. The will fit with little or zero sanding, grinding and reforming.
His phone 360 378 5532

The phone number I have for Oak Bows is 717-264-2602. I do not remember the name of the gentleman I placed the order with but I believe he runs a one man operation and attends some of the east coast shows so his hours might be hit or miss. He is very knowledgeable and supplied me with quality bows . Good luck -Dennis
