Topic: Jack & Lug Wrench

I recently acquired a 1946 Super Deluxe Tudor that didn't have anything to change a tire with. I've added a bottle jack and socket wrench to the trunk but would possibly like to have a period correct one. What was the original like, does anyone have a photo or link that would help me?

Lin Stacey could show you what the original tools looked like. His email is LinStacey@sbcglobal.net. He advertises in the V-8 Times under Services.

As I recall, the CORRECT '46 jack is "unobtainium". Stacey is THE guy if ever there was...
IF Lin has one, rest assured he is VERY fair in his pricing and sells only top quality stuff.

Bob, there is a very detailed description and pictures of the 1946 jacks in the '41 thru '48 Ford book put out by the V-8 Club. There were four jacks available during the 1946 model year. All similar with several small changes. If you want the correct one for your car you need to provide the date your car was built. One came out in January, one in May and two in November.
