Hi everyone! I have a 35 Fordor that I want to install a 36 banjo steering wheel but alas, how to pull the original wheel off. It’s been on the car for 85 years so I know it won’t be easy without a puller. Does anyone know where I can find one. I don’t have the capability to fabricate one myself. Thanks for the help.

Use the SEARCH option on this site. Enter Puller in keyword box and from the pulldown menu for IN THE PAST, choose ALL You do not have to make any other changes

I looked but it appears like there are none for sale. I did see a video on You Tube in which a guy used a conventional wheel puller and using nylon ropes, tied it to 2 spokes of his steering wheel and removed it that way. I’m thinking that might be a good way to break a spoke. Worse case senario, my 6-7 son who is a weight lifter has offered to physically pull it off. Lol

loosen the nut holding the wheel, get your son to pull on the wheel and rock it side to side, while he is doing this use a block of hardwood/hard nylon/brass and place this over the nut that is flush with the threads and wack it and the steering wheel will come loose. done it more times than I can remember
