By slim chance would anyone have pictures of where the convertible top assist springs mount? Photos or breakdown would be helpful. There has been considerable reconstruction on this one and I don't see where the mounts were. Merry Christmas to all.

It is shown clearly on page 301 of the 1944-1952 Body Parts catalog. The spring is connected between a "leg" that extends below the top mechanism to a tab on the floorboards on each side. If this doesn't make sense, leave me a private message and I will copy the page for you.
