I am aware of what a 35 closed car header speaker looks like, but from reading I understand that 36 had something different. Does anyone have a picture and/or description of of what is correct for a 36? Thanks, Cam

The 36 closed car speakers were over the windshield behind the fabric cover. There is a knockout in the steel panel the covering the wiper motor. The fabric covers the speaker which has a grill over the speaker cone

Here are some images of the speaker, the hole in the header panel and the speaker mounted in the panel.

Perfect, Thankyou very very much. I suspected that may be the case, but it was only a guess on my part. One more question though: What held the speaker in place? I suspect the hardware would be hidden as well??

Here's a composite from the 36 radio installation manual that should cover everything about mounting your speaker.

Look close and you will see a place for a carriage bolt.
