Topic: Front Brake Backing Plate Removal...

  Sorry for all the questions.

I am trying to do things to this car that I should have done over 40 years ago (when I was young).

I intend to change the King Pins, which requires that I remove the brake backing plate. I have removed the wheels, drums, brakes, etc. I have also removed the four, square head bolts that retain the Brake Backing Plate to the spindle.

I cannot get the backing plate off.

Is there another fastener that is now shown in the books, or are these often frozen to the spindle assembly?

UPDATE!: I just tried again and got the D@*n thing off! It was just really stuck on there.

Thank you all in advance.

I did get the thing off, finally.

Thank you though.
