I need an idea of how to secure my dash light switch to the dash. My anchor broke trying to install it. Anybody got any ideas? I saw a switch for sale for $200, but that is out of reason and question. It is a squeeze it together to remove from the dash. The vehicle is a '36 Ford 4dr Touring Sedan. It is stock. crude, but how about a narrow hose clamp?

It is the inside of the dash that holds the switch. The holder fits over the switch and it is spring steel, so when you want to remove it you squeeze the holders on either side towards the switch and it comes out towards you. So, I do not think a hose clamp will solve the problem I have.
