It is obvious I will need to remove the wiring harness from going through the firewall then install the new insulator pad and feed the harness back through the insulator pad and firewall. My question is which is easier; pulling the harness from the engine side through to the interior or pulling the harness from the dash through to the engine side. Either way looks like a project but I was hoping someone can tell me which way they thought was easier. Thanks in advance for the replies.

From experience, much easier to go FROM engine bay as more room to work and you're not standing on your head under the dash removing wires. Aim low--Achieve your goals.

Take the harness loose on the engine side and pull it back through the firewall. It saves you from laying on you back for hours removing the under dash wires.
