The bullet connectors on my 38 have four (opposing) crimps per below photo; the Lucas style crimping tool I have simply mashes the connector. What is the correct tool to achieve the original style crimp ? Thank you

Instead of crimping them, solder them. FWIW Paul in CT

Eureka ! The Bonneville Shop, which specializes in Brit bikes like Triumph and Norton, just delivered a ratcheting hexagonal bullet crimper (lower, below typical U.K.-sourced Lucas style POS) capable of forming perfect crimps on both hardened and white metal bullet connectors. Between this and a dab of solder, the connections on my 38 should be good for another 80+ years
