Topic: Door hinge adjustment

I just installed new door panels on my '35. This evidently made the door somewhat thicker. Now I can't get the door to close. There are three bolts on the top and on the bottom door hinges. I have the screws loose but the hinges don't want to slide outward to give the door more room to close. Is the hinge welded to the door post or am I approaching this the wrong way to move the door out from the car body to increase the door gap so the doors will close?

Thanks

Tom

I would adjust at the back with the striker. the striker will move in or out. To my knowledge the hinge bolts do not allow the door to move in or out.

The hinges do not move in or out, the latch must be adjusted like Tom said. After a few months the latch will probably have to be adjusted again as the upholstery compresses.
