What do you think of using Fenton cast iron headers? Have a set on my '53 and they are great.

Not necessarily opposed to them or Red's Headers.....was just hoping to put duals on using the stock manifolds.

I have yet to install a dual exhaust kit form any of the major suppliers w/o some modification necessary. So, if you think it's a simple "bolt on" task, be forewarned... it probably isn't.
If you can find a GOOD exhaust shop in your area, have them custom bend it for you.

Go to a junior college and learn how to acetylene weld. Buy some duckbill nose tin snips and a bunch of 1-5/8 thin wall u-bends. Get your usual hack saw and begin. Wait, you will also need the usual tubing flanges at the exhaust flanges from salvage, 2 of them. Ready, set, go! Maybe, first, make a fire brick table to avoid loss of heat to the partial assemblies and a cart for the acetylene and and oxygen bottles with a box for extra tips, the bottle wrench and some rods.

I have an original Ford set up for a '49,'50 V8 dual exhaust for sale. It contains - the left exhaust pipe, and the left tail pipe with the stock muffler. No clamps, tail pipe hanger, or gasket(s) or other hardware is included. If you, or anybody is interested, send me a Private Message on this forum.

Regards, Steve Lee
