Topic: '48 Ford Merc coil resister top plate

  Where might I find a source or find a print and specs for the fibre bar that sits atop the coil and holds the resistance coil and serves as a block to connect the 6 volt negative ignition wire to the resister and the other end of the resister to the negative terminal of the coil. The other end of that block has a hole that slips over the positive terminal of the coil. Many coils are available but that component I can't seem to find. Help.

  I found a piece at a shop that rebuilds starters and motors, it is a fiber board about 1/16 inch thick just cut it to size and drill the holes. If I am late answering sorry. If you are still looking let me know and I will see if I can get you a piece. Email rblinc66@gmail.com

  Try a shop that repairs computers or possibly cell phones??
