Topic: Trade in old parts?

I have a 1951 Mercury that has been in the family since new, still runs and drives. Over the years I have accumulated 2 old carburetors, several fuel pumps and a couple of water pumps. They are all complete but need rebuilding. Does anyone take trade-ins so that they can rebuild them for re-sale? Or maybe trade 2 old carburetors for 1 new/re-built one?All of the parts have been in the garage, so not weathered. Thanks!

The usual practice is the customer stuffs the carburetor throat with cash when he sends it in to be rebuilt.

For rebuilds on the water pumps:
Skip Haney

or
Daryl Fryer (909) 335-1418

Skip has done 2 sets of OCM Merc pumps for me. Very satisfied.

All of the recommended rebuilders are good.
