Topic: Service bulletins for installing window channel

  Hi,
I've been a member for a number of years and am in the process of completing the frame off restoration of my 1941 Ford pickup. I started it in 2001 and intend to complete it this summer in time for the Western National meet.
Right now I am preparing to install a new window channel kit that I acquired some time ago. I have all of the channel pieces as well as the screws an clips. The kit did not come with detailed steps to follow in installing the channel pieces. I have Dennis Carpenter's Catalog which has pictures showing the kit installation in a 1935 coupe. Included in this section is a reference to page 145 of Ford V-8 service Bulletins for detailed glass/regulator removal instructions.

I would appreciate any assistance in obtaining these service bulletins or other guidelines to help me with the process.

Ron, if you are a club member you can use your roster and contact other members in Arizona. I'm sure someone in your area has done this before. You might check with Clyde Bangiola who lives in Cottonwood, Arizona. He formerly owned C and G parts and probably installed one of these kits.

These pages are on Van Pelts web site.

  Tom,
Thanks for the suggestion. I had been to Van Pelt before and the only thing I could find is how to remove and install a windshield.

Is there a section on door glass that I missed?

Thanks,

Ron Jensen
