Do you know where is possible found information about it. The VIN number is
799A- 1875589.
We really apreciate your comments.
PS. I have restored (frane off)3 offroad cars.
Thanks

Per Mac Van Pelt's website, that serial number would be for a 1947 Ford.

The most obvious differences visually are the 1946 has red stripes in all it's exterior chrome stripes and in the grille. There are some early 1947 that share this. Underneath, the shock absorbers are tubes on a late 1947 and 1948s. There is also a antiroll bar or track bar on the front of a 1948. The hubcaps are block letter and blue paint on a 1948 and red stripes and script letters on a 1946. There is a script Ford text in an oval in the middle of a 1946 rear bumper. Differences in heaters are not so year specific. Hood ornament or no and what it looks like, a bird or a streamlined locomotive with smoke is another difference with variations along the way.

Verskille in verwarmers is nie so jaar spesifiek.

The early '47 cars used parts from 1946, so they look like '46 models. Your friend should purchase the V-8 Club's 1941-1948 book as it has a lot of information that your friend can use. The book can be purchased on the front page of this website by going to the "online store".
