speaking of '36 switches, i'm looking to replace the on/off switch in my '36 radio head. the switch body has S.C. Co stamped on it with nothing else to identify the company or the part no. anybody have a clue? or know where i might find a replacement. short of buying an entire head.

I am assuming that the switch is not working. In the picture, it looks like there are two brass pins that rivet the switch together. It may be possible to drill/grind the rivets to open up the switch, so you can clean the contacts inside. Reassembly can be done with small machine bolts/nuts, or you could make rivets out of some small brass rod, available at most hobby shops.

I repaired the ignition switch and interior courtesy light switch for my '46 Coupe by going through this process.

Sorry the pictures got shuffled out of order, and one rotated sideways.

Try contacting the sources on this list:

https://antiqueradio.org/parts.htm

You may find someone to help you find the switch.

Is that a combination switch, volume control or just an on/off switch?
