Having just replaced both water pumps on my 52 customline what do I do with the old pumps? Is there someone or place that purchases them for repair and resale?

Contact Skip Haney. He may purchase old pumps as cores. We have purchased his rebuilt pumps when we didn't have a core. His number is 941/505-9085. Since the "new" pumps have come out that don't need a core, the value of the old pumps has likely declined, but there is still a market among those who want to stay "as Henry built it". Otherwise, the old style will likely be scr*p.

Bob, I thought you knew better than that! Never, Never EVER scr*p any old Ford part if you don't want Henry to haunt your dreams. And remember, it floods in Iowa like it did the night Henry died!

Alan: As it poured here the day you stopped by, you have seen, first hand, how unpredictable Iowa weather can be! We had nearly two inches in less than an hour two days ago. Not a good day for convertibles. For those unfamiliar with Henry's demise, he passed away on 4-7-47 during a rain storm than cut off electric power to his mansion, "Fairlane". It was duly noted in accounts that "he died as he entered the world, by candlelight". As to Ford "script" parts, we have a pile of them that should keep ghosts at bay. I agree that many of those, such as camshafts and u-joints, have never been surpassed for quality. Waterpumps, I'm not so sure. The modifications introduced with the 8BA engine improved them, but the new double sealed bearings and advanced ceramic seals should continue the evolution. Those of us non-purists pay little attention to "script". I know you judges find that to be heresy.
