Can somebody describe where the end of the clutch return spring hooks to for a 1948 model Super Deluxe or any passenger car, probably the same as at least '46 - 48? It seems like it ought to connect on the frame or a cross member, This is the other end that connects to the pin on the clevis. I hooked mine to a hole in a cross member rear of the clutch & it doesn't return very well. I greased all the fittings. Thanks, Larry W.

Larry, there should be a small hole in the frame member just behind the pedal assembly. The spring should be P/N 11A-7523 and 7 19/64" long. Tom

Tom, Thanks for the info. Why would the pedal not return after hooking all this up? I greased all the fittings & the pedal seems lazy about retuning. Thanks, Larry W.

Things that could keep the pedal from returning are a weak spring or a bind in the pedal assembly. Binds can be due to worn bushings, rubbing on the floor pan or rubbing on the front floor mat. Tom
