I don't know of anyone reproducing the pieces that you are looking for. You should post a parts wanted ad in the Classified section of this Forum, the Ford Barn and the AACA Forum. You should also look at Hemmings and contact vendors that advertise every month like Mike Dennis and Lowell Kimble.

Ownster is a search engine that checks E-Bay and Craigs list across the country. You can do a daily search there for 1942 Ford parts and hope that something turns up.

3 or 4 years ago, I did a stupid thing getting my 46 out of my shop and scr*ped the rear fender on fence. Side molding (same as a 42) was beyond fixing so I found a guy who had lot's of ss trim. I can not remember his name but he was from western NY and lived on a road that stuck with me. Hoodlum hill road . Maybe someone will remember?

The hood emblem - a diecast piece. It has appeared from time to time on E-bay. It is unique to the 42 and there are two. One with an 8 on it and one with a six on it.

The stainless steel trim piece has never been reproduced to my knowledge. Best bet would advertise in a wanted add and see if anyone has an extra in storage.

Hey John.......his name is Mark Kicsak....97 Houdlum Hill Rd...Binghamton, NY......I spoke with him yesterday and he did have the fender trim I needed (which I bought)......he's been at it a while... was fun to talk to......(Joe from Joe's Antique Auto Parts referred me to him - that place is great to deal with and seems to have really good prices on most things - and a GREAT catalog !).....and I did find a hood emblem on C & G Ford Parts...said they had just sold their last one and they are on order from their supplier and figure it will be a few weeks before they get them......I placed my order with them and hope they are right about that....they are kinda pricey but they are so hard to come by that I can live with that.
Thanks for the reply !
John
