I have purchased a set of replacement arm rests for my '40 Ford DeLuxe coupe. They came with no instructions. My car didn't have them when I bought it, so I need some help on how to install them. I've figured out the bracket shaped like a "J", but there is a large oval plate with a hold in the middle that I can't figure out where it goes or what it is for. Any help would be appreciated as I'm getting ready to upholster the interior.
