  Answer this one!!
How can I have about 5/8ths of a turn more to the right than the left??;
when the front end is jacked up off the floor, and the steering wheel is straight ahead, and both wheels are straight ahead (and the toe in is 1/16 of an inch, (Had the alignment done after doing the steering box work, and all specs were good) and the steering arm (pitman) is straight back! Then when I turn to the right-, I count the turns of the steering wheel; then I turn to the left- and count the turns of the steering wheel; and the result is about 5/8ths of a turn more to the left!

Remember now. The pitman arm is "keyed,"and the steering wheel is "Keyed," so they can only go in in one position!!

  hi Steve
check your king pin lock bolts, see if the long nuts are the same length, are in the back of spindles,
these are the stops in your steering,,so it does not go to far, in one direction or the other,should be the same
hope this helps, Ludolf 1937Ragtopman MAINE
