does any early ford members have any information ( photos, specs) other than what is shown in the "1941-48 Ford Book , that can be shared.

I have this type of heater in my 48 Mercury. They work great and do not take much room on the fire wall. I have a complete set of parts for a Ford or Mercury installation for sale. If you have specific questions, I may be able to answer them or take photos of my installation for your reference. Bill Large 586-677-4790 Detroit, Michigan

coupeman The heater in my '46 is the same as shown on page A-3, fig. a-2 of the 41-48 book. Mine is gray metallic as shown in the book. I'm not sure what info you are looking for, so I attached what may be helpful to you.

Not sure what you mean by "front support", as my heater in my '46 has three bolts that secure it to the firewall, and nothing at the front. On mine, there are two outlets at firewall side of the heater box where two lengths of flex ducting go up to the defrost ducts under both sides of the windshield. Let me know if you need more info.

I am talking about a "fresh air heater system" which includes a duct that runs from the output side of the heater blower through the underside of the hood and a front support for that duct, if you have access to "1941-48 Ford book (Early Ford V-8 Club of America) page A-4 shows a picture.

Coupman and Leazer, same issue different cars? Yup, the fresh air heater/defroster is definitely different than what I have in my '46.
