Topic: 36 humpback undercarriage

While looking at the classifieds on this site, I came across a 36 humpback. The ad had several pictures attached but the one that caught my attention was of the undercarriage. It looks like running parallel to the frame rails are two pieces of lumber. I believe these are supports for the front seats. I'm curious if this was something Ford did or an item the owner fabricated. My 37 slantback front eat is just bolted thru the floor. I'm thinking the wood is a great reinforcement under the floor. Curious as to your thoughts.

In 1935 Ford added wood on the underside of the floor to strengthen the floor. This was carried over to the 36. You can see some of the wood pieces below. Wood was also added to the underside of the rumble area for cars with a rumble seat.
