Well my last post was inaccurate. There are 16 bolts, not 14. I found 2 up front and I cant get to them. The holes provided that are supposed to give you access are about 4 inches off. I'm going to try to get rid of material to access them. Probably not the greatest solution, but I don't know what else to do. The saga continues

Have you tried using a 1/4" drive socket with long extensions and u-joints?

Try disconnecting the front engine supports and raising the front of the engine.

The shop manual suggests lifting the front of the engine, so you will have to find a way to do this.

Yes, I've tried the wobbly's, wrong angle of the dangle.

Good idea, but it's more than I can do in my driveway. I don't have a cherry picker either. I am going to make new access holes.

You could lift the engine with a jack under the pan and then remove the bolts. It would be easier than drilling holes in the frame. I did not suggest this in my previous post because I did not know what you were working with.

I doubled the 2 x 12 tie in my garage so I cn use a chain pull or a strong come-a-long to lift stuff like that.

I just change took my pan out a few months ago on my 53 Customline and there is no need to cut or make holes to remove the oil pan. you will need to remove the bottom fan covers ( steel cover that protects the fan that run from the radiator to the cross member) off to get access to the front bolts.
