Topic: 1937 Ford Woody Brake Question

Hello folks, we're restoring the brakes on a 1937 Woody Wagon here at the shop, and we're having an extremely hard time trying to locate brake shoe springs for all four wheels. Mac's doesn't have any, ClassicAutoParts.com doesn't have any, and we're kind of stumped because the new brake shoes we purchased from Mac's for this model don't have any hold down springs like traditional drum brake setups have, and with the new shoes, the bottom springs on all the brake setups are way too lose. Are we doing something wrong? Does anyone have a picture of what this brake setup is supposed to look like?

I am attaching the diagram for the 37-38 brake system. It was only used those two years as Ford's last attempt to avoid hydraulic brakes. This make finding parts tough. That system was as good as hydraulics if it could be maintained, which was a problem with cables that stretched and tended to stick. I am attaching a diagram of the system.
