I want to remove my seat, but I don't know about the "flap" from the back of the seat that tucks in at the shelf behind the seat. It seems to be attached and I don't want to tear something or whatever I could mess up trying to pull it out! Thanks for help for what I hope is a simple deal! Don

Don, If everything remains intact (authentic) there will be a number of finish head nails you'll need to remove from the vertical cardboard piece that trims (over) the cloth flap. There are also a few finish nails in the very upper corners of that flap on each end that hold the "loose" ends of the flap down - kind of tucked behind the top / side of the seat. That's really about it. If you have a proper tack removal tool, you should be able to salvage and thereby reuse the cardboard. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

Kube has the right answer. If you don't have a tack removal tool you can buy one at your local hardware store. Not expensive (probably $3-4) but well worth the it to do it right. They also work good to remove your hub caps.

Thanks guys, I actually have the tool! Don't know where or when I got it but there it was in with some other odd stuff. Any way, the tacks came out good, so now I'm ready to take the seat out. Thanks again, Don This message was edited by oldfordman on 5-5-20 @ 8:23 PM
