Hello, I was wondering if anyone has tried to put a set of Vintique running board mats on reproduction running boards. No matter what I do they come up short in the front. From the top edge where it meets the fender . Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thank you , Tony Please stay healthy

Some years ago my neighbor used the Vintique covers on his '41 coupe. The fit and looked great, but he was putting them on original boards. you need to compare the repo boards against original boards. Not all repo stuff matches the original.

  Dennis Carpenter or Bob Drake.
Google them for their website.

The car was in boxes along with the boards, I have found some on ebay . Early Ford Store in California had them also.

Bob Drake is not selling 41 running board covers anymore, but I was told that the 41 running boards Bob Drake used to sell were made by Vintique. I wonder if I'm going to have the same problem trying to fit reproduction covers onto original running boards.

Reproduction running boards, plus reproduction rubber running board rubber, equals trouble.
