Hello, can someone tell me if the drivers side rear fender brace is specific to station wagon. If so would someone have one. Thank You

I'm no expert on woodies, but if you are a V-8 Club member use your roster and call Gary Wright in California. I'm sure he can tell you as he has built a 41 woodie.

The '40 thru '48 Station Wagon body was assembled in Iron Mountain, Michigan and not on the passenger car body, assembly line. That being said, I think the fender brace/splash shield would be different from the passenger car. Mike Byrne is the advisor for '46/'48 Station Wagons for the NWC he might know, woodie47@comcast.net.

According to the Ford parts book the rear fender braces and rear fenders are unique to the station wagons. Unfortunately I don't have a spare brace. The station wagon bodies were assembled at the Iron Mountain plant and then sent to an assembly plant to be installed on a frame. Iron Mountain was primarily a wood body builder. The cowl section and windshield as well as the floor panel and inner rear fenders were stamped at Dearborn and then sent to Iron Mountain to build the body on.The body was shipped from Iron Mountain without the rear fenders in place.
