Topic: 1941 glove box stop lacation

  Hi
I am trying to find out where the glove box stopper location is. There were no stops ( flat steel with rubber on one end ) on the dash when I bought the car, I purchased a set but don't know where they go. I can't find any good pictures of where they should be located, from what I've seen it looks they mount on the door hinge . If that's correct do they mount on the inside or under the dash. If anyone has a picture or can tell my how they should be mounted it would be a great help.

Thanks
Joe

  Joe,
They are attached beneath the lip of the dash. The rubber part goes toward the front of the car. The screw goes in from the bottom - up in to the glove box area. The acorn nut goes atop the hinge.
You'll note the slot in the bumper … when you install them (bumpers) you may have to adjust their location fore / aft so the lip of the lid comes in to direct contact with the rubber part.
