I'm trying to re-assemble the parking brakes on a 1939 S/W. I know generally how they fit, but I'm not sure of the location of the washers & spring washers that came in the lever pin kit. Is there a blow-up picture of the assembly somewhere? Also, I've seen conflicting info on the position of the brake shoes. I know that there is a long and short shoe at each wheel. Does the long show go on the front or the rear? Just for clarification, I've inherited a car that someone else took apart and partially restored. I'm trying to put it back together.

Frosty, Long shoe goes toward the front. Those spring washers go between the lever and shoe. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

To Charlie Stephens & "Kube", thanks for your input. I actually have the Van Pelt picture in my 3-ring binder, and had shoes on one of my wheels with the long shoes on the front, but then I saw a note in one of the catalogues that said the short shoes go on the front, so I changed them around to suit. Not really a big deal to go back to the proper way. Al
