Do I need a sealer when replaceing raditator hoses on my 35 Ford? Thanks.

I don't use it myself. I have found if the clamps are properly tightened, as the car runs the hoses will "cook" on and seal them selves. There may initialy be a little seepage but a few cycles of hot and cold should cure it.

Sunflower, 40guy's reply about the hoses cooking onto the outlets is absolutely true, and is the reason why many use silicone grease to allow for easy removal later without damage to car or knuckles. Think of having to replace a hose in the dark on the side of the road somewhere!
