Topic: 1950 Ford exhaust manifold paint

I understand the exhaust manifolds were painted with the engine as an assembly. The paint soon burnt off. Has anyone had any luck with exhaust manifold painting with a bronze paint to match the engine?

Since having the bronze motor enamel survive the first engine "start-up" is not realistic, why would you want to replicate a condition that never existed?

I Think they made have had a little overspray on them but were never painted fully.
just imagine in the factory them running the engine and all the smoke the burning paint would have made,
if you want to paint the manifolds,
EASTWOOD has a stainless steel coating paint, they looks like cast iron when cured.and will not rust with
updating the coating every once in a while,
also there is a cast iron paint in many of the auto parts store like AUTOZONE,in spray form, just transfer to a brush to get a accurate job,
run engine outside to cure the finish,

Stove black works great & it's easy to apply.
