Topic: 36 emergency brake cable

The ball on the end of my cable that goes into the emergency brake level came off. I can't find any vendor who sells 1936 emergency brake cable. Anybody have any ideals on how to fix the end of the cable or where I can purchase a new one.

36 Fords had brake rods, not cables. If you have a cable, you have a modified vehicle and need to post photos of what you are having trouble with.

I forgot to mention I have hydrolic brakes.

I'd suggest you measure the cable and get a reproduction to replace it. They're cheap at around $20.

I found the handbrake cable I need from the early V8 garage located in West Covina, Ca. They were the original company that a previous owner used for the hydraulic brake parts kit. They have all the parts for 1935 and 1936 Ford necessary to install a hydraulic brake system.

If you can get the ball back on the cable you can spot weld it to the cable. Your best bet is to just buy a new cable as Kube has suggested..
