Topic: 34 Deluxe horns and commercial vehicle horn.

The 34 Deluxe horns can be assembled in several different ways so the connection point for the electrical wires are in different positions after final assembly. The reproduction chrome covers are both Left and Right, these can be assembled in several different ways also. When the horns are finally assembled on the car, should the wiring exit the covers toward the hood, or toward the rear? Should the embossed covers have the Sparton CL-4 embossing toward the front of the car, that would put the wiring toward the hood? Where should the horns electrical connection be located under the chrome covers?
Was the Schwarze M-68 horn used on the 34 commercial vehicles?
Thank You

Since the horn wires pass through the hollow bolts that attach the horn brackets, logic prevails and the wires should exit the covers closest to the opening in the bolt heads., which is away from the hood. The orientation of the horn center section makes no difference regarding the horns' operation, but again should be assembled with the distance between the wire connections and the exit notch in the cover minimized.

The attached Ford archives photo of a '33 front end may be helpful.

Thank You! That will put the embossing on the covers toward the front of the car.

Please note the corrected text in my note and the addition of a photo. Sorry for the confusion.
