Any one know of a source for the above? Is the door on the Cabriolet (not a Club Cabriolet) the same as any other model? Thanks Bruce

any good sheet metal shop will be able to make repair panels and how high you need them,, just be sure to use 20 gauge uncoated metal,
this way you have a say in what you want and can measure to you spec's

I can't help you with the door question, but our body man uses metal from salvage yard vehicles to create new patches where there is a curved surface. Pieces of a top are a good source. He then creates a recessed lap joint and "stitches" the panel in place with a wire welder to reduce warping. The result is an almost undetectable repair requiring very little filler. If you have a local body shop with an old timer or two, they probably can do it. Most new patch panels, if you can find them, are made of very light material, and hard to install so they are undetectable.
