Topic: 34 Cabriolet wiper motor mounting

I am uncertain how to mount my wiper motor on my 34 Cabriolet. The original Trico motor on the Cabriolet is different from the others in how it mounts - the half moon shape hangs down, instead being up. The header garnish has a single hole for the shaft that goes through the windshield, but no other mounting holes. There is a "racetrack-shaped" oval place, like the Indy track, stamped into the garnish and centered on the hole for the shaft. The motor has two "ears" that stick out, which causes the motor to stand off from the header garnish about a quarter of an inch. There are no holes in the garnish that those ears go into. So, the only thing right now that would hold the motor on is the nut that screws on the shaft on the outside of the windshield. There must be more - something else that keeps the motor from rotating against the header garnish, and something to seal the hole through the windshield. Help!
